With TechCrunch heralding a new tech bucket called DisasterTech in their recent article “Data was the new oil, until the oil caught fire: The future of technology and disaster response” the Caribbean (hurricane bowling ally of the gulf coast) has an opportunity to proactively build solutioning to help the region grow.

Not only do we have an opportunity to prevent disasters by adopting technology from leaders globally, we also have the opportunity (and obligation) to build solutions locally.
